Short note about the Synology Forums/Community

by Ruben on September 27th, 2018 2 comments »

Recently, Synology decided to completely disable their “Forums” and move their support to a new “Community”. While the forums were user-supported and maintained, this new “Community” is a Synology dictatorial system that is not only an absolute mess, but also moves all power to Synology. In other words; as soon as you post anything even remotely negative about ANY Synology product, you’re going to be fucked in the behind.

If anyone ends up reading this message because I am no longer actively participating in the forums (or the new “Community”), I hereby declare that I will no longer support ANY of the scripts I posted in the old forums and that I will no longer participate in any discussion or support question regarding ANY Synology subject.

I’ll be joining another, non-official Synology forum where our Taiwan dictators have 0.0% influence and I will see you over there…

I just found out today about this absolutely unbelievable move that Synology made. What I worse is I was about to post for some support but now I feel screwed

I can recomment moving over to the Synology subreddit on I quite like it there.
